The log trailers that come equiped with a crane (which is what made me think of the claw arcade thing) are an exercise in futility.Īnd then theres the problem of the physics engine occasionaly losing its ♥♥♥♥ when you drop a log onto something, and EVERYTHING freaks out and goes flying. Then there is the issue with logs sticking to the device that picked it up, and I have seen this with every machine I have used to pick up logs. It struggles to clamp down around 2 logs, nevermind 6. Wheel loaders have a lot of power in thier hydrolics, and in the case of the 624, I had ZERO issues picking up a tree with a clamshell bucket. I would know, as I was once a licensed operator of a John Deere TRAM 624KR.
The wheel loader with the log fork attachment, for example, SHOULD have no issue picking up at least 4-6 logs. IMy main issue is the fact that even picking the log up is sometimes extreamely difficult.
